The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport – one of the technical arms and specialized organizations of the League of Arab States – is honored to announce participating in the activities of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COPP28) held from the 30th of November – 12th of December 2023 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Through the Arab League Pavilion in the Blue Zone, Pavilion No. MS01g2, the Academy is organizing a number of specialized technical sessions covering several topics which will be discussed throughout the conference days:
- Wednesday, December 6, 2023, which is dedicated to the topics “Multi-level Action – Urbanization – Built Environment – Transport
- Saturday, December 9, 2023, dedicated to the topics “Nature – Land Use – Oceans”
- Sunday, December 10, 2023, dedicated to the topics “Food – Agriculture – Water”
Wednesday, December 6, 2023, which is dedicated to the topics “Multi-level Action – Urbanization – Built Environment – Transport, the Arab Academy has two sessions:
First: The Engineering and Technology Forum “Towards a Green and Sustainable Future “by integrating interdisciplinary Engineering Knowledge and Technology.
Second: Sustainable Shipping Forum: Navigating Strategic Transformation in Maritime Industry
Strategic Ocean Alliance: Fostering Global-Arab Collaborations for Marine Resilience against Climate Change.

In cooperation with the Union of Arab Chambers, the Academy organizes a workshop on Food Security and Sustainability
