Equipping the workforce for tomorrow: Egyptian Ministry of Awkaf (Endowment) partners with AASTMT to launch an upskilling initiative.

Within the framework of the Ministry of Endowments’ interest in training, continuous qualification and scientific research for its imams, preachers and employees, Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar Jumaa, Minister of Endowments, and Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), signed a cooperation protocol. The protocol aims to provide training programs for imams, preachers, and employees of the Ministry of Awqaf. The training programs will especially focus on media skills, research and training. This will include the participation of imams and female preachers in Master’s and Doctorate degrees at the AASTMT.

President of AASTMT mentioned that the Arab Academy is one of the organizations of the League of Arab States, and this protocol with the Ministry of Endowments is an important addition in the field of training for human building, which is the main goal that the Academy seeks in all its activities in its various branches inside and outside Egypt. The protocol was signed on December 24, 2023, in the presence of Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar Jumaa, Minister of Endowments, and Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar, President of the AASTMT. Also, Dr. Amr Al-Laithi, President of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Radio and Television Union, faculty members from AASTMT, a group of the nation’s scholars, leaders and imams of the Ministry of Endowments and students.
