This year, in its 13th Edition, the MARLOG Conference hosted by AASTMT is themed “Towards Smart Green Blue Infrastructure” The conference will bring together a diverse group of experts from the fields of ports, logistics, sustainability, and technology to discuss the latest trends and innovations in sustainable infrastructure. Held annually, this conference serves as a vital platform for industry experts, scholars, and practitioners to exchange knowledge, insights, and experiences, shaping the future of maritime trade.

Previous editions of Marlog, Included the discussion of a variety of vital topics. In its 12ths Eiditon, Marlog discussed “Sustainable & Innovative Technologies: Towards a Resilient Future”. This year it will go further by discussing the role of technology in sustainable ports and logistics, the importance of public-private partnerships in sustainability initiatives, the need for education and training in sustainability, and the importance of international cooperation on sustainability. The conference will include 9 different tracks and address questions like How to reduce emissions from port operations? How to improve energy efficiency in ports and logistics? This year we are also thrilled to announce the participation of Lieutenant–General Engineer /Kamel Al–Wazir – The honourable Minister of Transport in Egypt. Known for his visionary leadership and commitment to sustainability, the minister will delivered a keynote address highlighting the Government’s priorities, initiatives, and strategies for advancing sustainable infrastructure development in ports and logistics. Their presence underscores the significance of this conference as a platform for dialogue, collaboration, and action towards building a more resilient and environmentally responsible maritime infrastructure. Throughout the conference, several key themes will be discussed, reflecting the multifaceted nature of maritime and logistics

International guests from different countries like Albania, Belgium, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Kuwait, Malta, Morocco, Poland, Romania, Shanghai, Singapore, Slovenia, Sweden and the UK, amongst others, will participate this year. Further to that, the conference will feature a variety of speakers, including academics, industry professionals, and government officials. The speakers will share their insights and experiences on the challenges and opportunities of sustainability in ports and logistics. To date, Marlog’s various editions witnessed 253 published articles from 56 different countries. All Accepted papers will be published in Marlog’s Conference Proceedings which is Scopus Indexed.

Aside from the interesting sessions and keynote speakers, the conference hosts the “The International Maritime Expo (IME)”. The exhibition is considered to be one of the largest specialized exhibitions in Egypt, the Arab Region and Africa. The Exhibition invites regional and international companies working in Maritime Transport and Logistics to showcase the state-of-the-art technology developments in the field of maritime transport and logistics.
