Fueled by a passion for oral health and a desire to make a difference, AAST Dental students are increasingly stepping outside their classrooms and into the heart of El Alamein City, providing essential care and fostering positive change.
AAST dentistry students hosted a “Dental Home” event for children who live in Alamein. This model emphasises well-being through improved oral health specifically in rural areas such as Alamein. During the event, the AAST students presented awareness sessions to children and their parents. These presentations include how to brush your teeth and prevent cavities. With a sprinkle of creativity and a dash of fun, our students taught the community members how they can transform teeth-brushing time from a chore to an engaging adventure. The day included lots of fun activities for the children. By incorporating interesting and playful tips, our dentistry students were able to transform oral hygiene from a chore into a joyful experience, setting the participating children on the path to a lifetime of healthy, happy smiles!
